Survivor Series is less than 48 hours away. Are you ready for the
Elimination Chamber?

Hello Marks, and welcome to the latest edition of Ring Rust. Six men
enter, one man leaves with the World Championship. What’s in store for us, the
wrestling fans? Will we get the biggest gimmick style match ever or the
worst over-hyped match ever created? Well it can’t be any worse than
the Triple Cage Match from the WCW days. People loved to hate that steel
cage abomination. Although yours truly liked the old Triple Cage Match. I
think I could very well be the only one on this side of Planet Stasiak that
did. I do think this Survivor Series has a lot of promise this year.
Hopefully the WWE has decided to give the ball to the other deserving superstars,
in an effort to see what they can do with the World Strap in hand. I’m
talking about people like Rob Van Dam, Kane and Booker T. If any of these men
come away from the main event World Champion it will be worth the price of
the PPV alone. I know and watch wrestling with almost all the Couch Pirates
and trust me they all feel the same way.

Other great matches include: Angle/Benoit vs. Edge & Rey Mysterio vs.
The Guerrero’s, Spike & Bubba Ray Dudley with Jeff Hardy vs. 3-Minute
Warning, and Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show. The Triple Threat tag team match should
steal the show for the night. All of these men are great in-ring workers, if
not the best the WWE has to offer. The Tables Match between Jeff, Spike &
Bubba vs. Rosey, Jamal, and Rico should be a classic table match, with lots
of entertaining high spots. Finally the Brock vs. Big Show should be an
interesting one from a story-line perspective. This match should put
Brock over as a true ass kicking baby-face, the people want to cheer him and
by the end of next Sunday there will be no stopping them. Look for Heyman
to turn on Brock or look for Brock to fire Heyman as his agent before the
match begins. I can see this feud being dragged out for another PPV except in
the rematch it would be Brock vs. Big Show with Paul Heyman in his corner.
Remember you heard that here first.

Okay are you ready for Predictions? Last PPV I went an average 4-3,
pretty disappointing. I can do better and this month I will do better. Enough
yammering lets get to those predictions.

***Please note as of this time (11-15-02) there are only seven matches
on
the Survivor Series card with none being rumored***

Confirmed Matches

Jamie Noble vs. Billy Kidman for the Cruiserweight Championship

Who will win? Jamie Noble
Why? Billy Kidman come on, who cares about this guy?
Who I would let win? Jamie Noble
Why? Because I love his whole white trash, swapping Nidia routine.

The Hurricane & Goldust vs. Lance Storm & William Regal

Who will win? Lance Storm & William Regal
Why? This is just a way to get Storm & Regal some time as heels and get
them ready for a Tag Team push. Besides Goldust & Hurricane have been a team
for what a week, what benefit would it be to give these guys a win?
Who I would let win? Lance Storm & William Regal
Why? Same reasons as stated above.

Trish Stratus (c) vs. Victoria for the Women’s Championship, Hardcore
Rules

Who will win? Victoria
Why? It’s a Hardcore Match, it gives Victoria an edge. Look for
Victoria to attack Trish early in the night hurting the Women’s Champ.
Who I would let win? Victoria
Why? I hate Trish.

Spike Dudley, Bubba Dudley, Jeff Hardy vs. 3-Minute Warning in a Tables
Match

Who will win? Spike, Bubba, and Jeff
Why? The Dudleys are known for their Table Matches and with Jeff around
look for a Swanton Bomb from the top of a ladder. Besides this match will
get the crowd jacked up.
Who I would let win? Spike, Bubba, and Jeff
Why? Because I hate the 3-Minute Fatties.

Rey Mysterio & Edge(c) vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs. Chavo & Eddie
Guerrero for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles

Who will win? Chavo & Eddie Guerrero
Why? Because Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio need minor knee surgery that
will keep them out of action for 2-3 weeks. You can’t have your Tag Team
Champions inactive can you? I would think not. Thus by default the
Guererro’s are the clear choice to hold the Tag Team Belts for now.
Who I would let win? Rey Mysterio & Edge
Why? I would wait and have them drop the Tag Team Titles on Smackdown
to the Guerreros.

Brock Lesnar(c) vs. Big Show for the Undisputed Championship

Who will win? Brock Lesnar
Why? I can see no way it would help the WWE by letting Brock lose to
the Big Show at this time. I can see this match getting disqualified or
possibly a double count-out. Either way I see this match ending the friendly
relationship between Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. I see a rematch at
the December PPV between these two giants with Heyman on the side of the
Big Show.
Who I would let win? Brock Lesnar
Why? Same reasons as stated above

The Elimination Chamber, Six Man Match for the World Championship
Triple H(c) vs. Kane vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Booker T vs. Rob Van Dam
vs. Chris Jericho

Who will win? Booker T
Why? I don’t have any other reasons other than Booker lost to Triple H
on Monday Night. Which hopefully is some foreshadowing of Booker T getting
revenge against Triple H on Sunday. No matter who wins I promise you
Triple H will be one of the last two guys in that match.
Who I would let win? Chris Jericho
Why? Because I think Jericho is the darkest horse in this match, it
probably would piss people off but it would shock a lot of people as well. Trust
me this won’t happen though.

Well that’s it for me. I must go know and prepare myself for the (scary
loud voice) ELIMINATION CHAMBER! Enjoy the PPV and the weekend.

Later marks.
